DESCRIPTION:\nThe town of Jean Lafitte will host a Community Day for the re
 sidents of Barataria\, Crown Point\, Jean Lafitte and Lafitte on March 12\
 , 2022 from 9:00 am to noon. We will have a tree give-a-away\, free non-pe
 rishable groceries\, free legal services and a limited supply of free blan
 kets.\n\n\n\nCOMMUNITY DAY INCLUDES:\nThe NolaTree Project will give away 
 trees Saturday\, March 12\, from 9 a.m. to noon across from Town Hall at t
 he St. Anthony church hall. You will be able to choose your own 4 to 7 foo
 t tree and get information on planting. Thank you to Verizon for sponsorin
 g this event!\n\n\nThe Convoy of Hope will offer Pre-Bagged Non-Perishable
  Groceries – Each family will receive 2 bags.\nHousehold Goods – Each 
 family will receive 1 bag with items such as tupperware\, etc.\nHot Meal 
 – Bag containing cooked hot dog\, chips\, cookie and bottled water. The 
 truck will be at Town Hall.\n\n\nThe Southeast Legal Services Team will be
  in Lafitte on March 12\, from 9:00 am until noon at the St. Anthony’s H
 all with free legal help for those needing FEMA\, insurance or succession/
  property ownership issues. If you need help now\, call or apply online at
  833.526.4800 or www.slls.org.\n\n\nThe District 8 S Lions in Coordination
  of New Orleans Filipino American Lions Club and New Orleans Central City 
 Lions Club will be distributing 200 blankets. These are walk up distributi
 ons. We will be adding more resources so watch for more information and pl
