TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE HOLDS RIBBON CUTTING AND DEDICATION CEREMONY FOR OPENING OF THE NUNEZ SEAFOOD PAVILION AND AJ & SHERON FABRE MARKET

JEAN LAFITTE, La –The Town of Jean Lafitte will celebrate the grand opening of Lafitte’s Seafood Pavilion and Market on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., 920 Jean Lafitte Blvd., Jean Lafitte.

The Grand Opening will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by music by Amanda Shaw and food and drinks by local restaurants.

“We hope to see everyone come out for this event,” said Town of Jean Lafitte Mayor Tim Kerner. “We will have food from local restaurants and music by Amanda Shaw. We are looking forward to this being the beginning of many more events at this wonderful facility right along the bayou in Jean Lafitte.”

The Seafood Pavilion will feature booths for fishermen to sell directly to the public, and the Market will include a stage for live music and an area for seating as well as eating facilities and a deck-covered patio overlooking Bayou Barataria.

The following officials will be present at the ribbon cutting ceremony: Jean Lafitte Mayor Timothy Kerner, Lieutenant GovernorBilly Nungesser, State Senator John Allario, Jefferson Parish President Mike Yenni, Jefferson Parish Councilman Ricky Templet and Jefferson Parish Councilman Chris Roberts.
