TBA – Spring in the Swamp
It’s spring in the swamp at the Barataria Preserve: wildflowers are in bloom, frogs are calling, migratory birds are returning from their travels, and alligators are looking for romance. Join National Park Service rangers and volunteers for a weekend of free family fun during Spring in the Swamp 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
You can also see irises blooming at the Wetland Trace in Jean Lafitte behind the Lafitte’s Barataria Museum.
APRIL 26 – St. Anthony’s Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony
The Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony is Saturday, April 25 at noon behind town hall.
MAY 1-3 – St. Anthony’s Blessing of the Fleet Festival
St. Anthony Church, 2653 Jean Lafitte Blvd. The festival will include food, a flea market and live music by local bands.
Friday May 1: 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Saturday May 2: noon to 11:00 p.m.
Sunday May 3: noon to 9:00 p.m.

TBA- Jean Lafitte Pirogue Races
Saturday, July (TBA) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The races start at 11:00. The festival includes local food and music.
TBA – Jean Lafitte Fall Town Market
Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 920 Jean Lafitte Blvd., Jean Lafitte. at the Jules Nunez Seafood Pavilion on Bayou Barataria. The Town Market includes vendors selling fresh seafood, local food, music and arts and crafts.
