The Jefferson Parish Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) has been updated through a collaborative effort with unincorporated Jefferson Parish, the cities of Gretna, Harahan, Kenner, Westwego, and the towns of Grand Isle and Jean Lafitte.

Why This Plan Matters
An approved Hazard Mitigation Plan allows Jefferson Parish and participating municipalities to apply for federal funding for projects prioritized in the plan. Additionally, the plan aligns with GOHSEP’s statewide Hazard Mitigation Plan and strengthens coordination between local, state, and federal agencies during disasters.
